Our corporate car service is concerned with transport, traffic, cars, limousines, chauffeurs, daily business, nightly life.  Here are some stories and facts we hope you find interesting:

California Double Whammy

As best we can determine, the world's most expensive hotel parking belongs to San Francisco.  Almost two thirds of City hotels charge for parking.  At the top of the list is the Westin Saint Francis which charges for parking alone what some hotel rooms plus parking charge in SF outlying areas —$63 per day.  At the Westin you also have to tip the valet to assure smooth handling.

Puts a pick up, comfortable limousine ride and drop off in perspective, doesn’t it?

The state also seems to lead in traffic jams. Los Angeles is numero uno on the Texas Transportation Institute's list for America’s worst traffic.  It’s pretty close to impossible to reach any destination in Los Angeles from any other place in La La Land in less than a half hour. Moreover, it takes twice as long to get anywhere in their long rush hours.

Over the last several “big dig” years, Boston seems to be rivaling LA in the dubious distinction of wasting time commuting.  It’s not unusual for Boston workers to spend three hours or more per day commuting—that’s almost two entire days per week.  Why not take a corporate car?  No parking, no sweat, and you can work, read, or safely make calls.

Traffic and Fish

A man was speeding down the highway, feeling securely surrounded by cars all traveling at the same speed.  Although he was surrounded, he got nailed with an infrared speed detector at a speed trap and was the only car pulled over.

A traffic cop handed the man a citation.  In an attempt to get out of the ticket, he asked, "Officer, I know I was speeding, but there were plenty of other cars around me going the same speed, so why did I get the ticket?"

The policeman turned from his clipboard and asked the driver if he had ever gone fishing.

"Um, yeah... so," the startled man replied.

The officer smiled and asked, "Ever catch ALL the fish?"

Einstein’s Chauffeur

This is a story about Albert Einstein and his chauffeur. Einstein used the same scientific speech over and over again for various speaking engagements. The same chauffeur drove him to each event, and always watched from the back of the auditorium and listened.

Finally the chauffeur said to Einstein: "I've heard your speech so many times that I have it memorized. In fact, I know your speech so well that you and I could trade places and I could deliver your speech." So, Einstein accepted the challenge. They exchanged clothes and positions. For the next speech, Einstein drove the chauffeur who sat in the back seat. The chauffeur was introduced as Einstein walked to the podium. Einstein stood in the back and listened.

The moderator varied from the routine after the speech and opened the floor up for questions. The chauffeur squirmed. As luck would have it, the first question was from a science Professor and was very complicated.

The chauffeur hesitated. Then with a wit sharpened by having to think on his feet, he answered, "That’s actually a really simple question. Any one could answer it. Just to show you how easy your question is, my chauffeur in the back of the room will answer it for you."
